Mount said through a Combat Corona FIFA tournament: “So two years ago I was in Holland on loan, and so I knew a bit about him and clearly good of a player he is.

“So obviously it is another amazing, world-class player joining the club. So yeah buzzing to perform together with him, train together and play with him.”

Mount spent time on loan at Vitesse Arnhem in 2017-18. His efforts there, along with a stint at Derby last season, have aided him to compete for regular senior excursions at Chelsea.

He is taking in an enforced break currently, along with the rest of the sporting world, as the coronavirus pandemic prevents aggressive football from taking place.

Asked on what he is doing during lockdown, the England star said: “It’s been hard just staying indoors, it’s only a complete change of regular, but I think that it’s only the best thing to do, just to avoid going out as much as you can, because I think everybody just wants to get this over and done, back to ordinary regular, normal football on the weekends.”
